Power stations serve as the core hubs for ensuring a reliable power supply. Within their main buildings, power distribution rooms, and outdoor switchyard structures, equipment and piping are densely packed, leaving limited space and narrow access paths. Traditional aerial work equipment often struggles to gain entry, and the large footprint required for deploying outriggers makes tasks such as high-altitude maintenance, equipment defect rectification, and pipeline servicing particularly challenging. With its compact design, quiet lithium-battery-powered drive, and stable vertical lifting capability, the KB (KB lifter) mast-style aerial work platform has become the preferred choice for precision operations and maintenance in power stations—finding extensive use in the upkeep and construction of substations, as well as thermal and renewable energy power plants.

The substation equipment upgrade project is characterized by a tight schedule and a dense layout of on-site equipment, making it difficult for conventional heavy construction machinery to gain access. For this power infrastructure upgrade, a coordinated fleet—comprising "spider" cranes, aerial work platforms, and mast-type lifts—has been deployed. Working around the clock, the team is racing against time to complete equipment replacement and utility line maintenance, ensuring a stable power supply for the regional electrical grid.

With the onset of autumn, conditions shift to include wider day-night temperature fluctuations, dry and windy weather, and heavy morning dew. Following continuous operation under high summer temperatures, the equipment’s hydraulic, electrical, structural, and travel systems may harbor latent wear or damage. Conducting timely, specialized autumn maintenance for KB mast lifts—addressing hazards left over from summer and adapting the machinery for cooler autumn and winter operating conditions—is crucial for ensuring stable performance and extending the equipment's overall service life.
